8th Grade American History

Students will conclude our examination and analysis of the Boston Massacre and the subsequent trial. Students will be asked to formulate a judgment on the case based on evidence and testimony provided during the trial. Students will then apply their conclusions from this event to their broader understanding of the context of the time period. Students will then evaluate early colonial propaganda regarding the Boston Massacre for accuracy, and how different groups view or extort the same event to fit their particular viewpoints.
