8th Grade American History
Students will finish our study of significant British political acts and trade polity toward the colonies that led to the American Revolution. On 11/4 students met Thomas Paine, Patrick Henry, and Samuel Adams. Students were introduced to these early revolutionaries, and were able to actively participate in both how and why these men became involved in the revolution. New podcasts are due this week. Another will be posted on Friday and will be due 11/13. Students have been told one of their essay question for the exam. The question is as follows: Is the American Revolution justified? Students will need to assess, interpret, and judge evidence presented in class with 95% accuracy. Students will then apply that evidence to formulate and defend their argument that answers the essay question.
