8th Grade American History

Students will being our examination of the events leading up to and surrounding the writing, editing, voting and establishing of the Declaration of Independence.  Students will be able to define the four parts of the Declaration of Independence with 98% accuracy.  Students will be able to describe the four parts of the Declaration of Independence with 96% accuracy.  Students will apply their understanding of this document by drafting their own version, with the focus on the implications and ramification of the Declaration of Independence on the Colonies and the world during the revolution and throughout history.
