8th Grade American History

Students will conclude our examination, analysis and evaluation of the Presidency of John Adams.  Students will be able to explain the Jay Treaty, the XYZ Affair and the Alien and Sedition Act with 94% accuracy.  Students will be able to experienced and empathize with citizen and non-citizen life at this time.  Students will examine the Presidential Election of 1800, focusing on the first negative campaigning, Hamilton's role and the demise of the Federalist Party.  We will then progress to the Presidency of Thomas Jefferson.   2011-2012 Vocabulary List is due the last day of Journals for 40 points.
