8th Grade American History


Students will begin our study of the process of creating American government.  Students will be able to compare and contrast different ideas and proposals for government.  Students will be able to explain at least 3 post-war issues facing the newly independent colonies with 100% accuracy.  Students will be able to explain how the colonists prioritized these issues, and the solutions for each with 94% accuracy.  Students will be given a summary of the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union.  They will identify and synthesize main ideas, significant points, but most importantly failures of this early document with 95% accuracy.
