Students will analyze and interpret the causes and effects of the Battle of Saratoga with 96% accuracy. Students will use their own life experiences as a reference point, as well as primary source documents to understand and recreate the events at Valley Forge in 1777. Students will read, explain, summarize and evaluate Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," and understand how this document affected the soldiers, women and children in Valley Forge.
