6th Grade World History

Students will conclude our examination of the pyramid building process with an analysis of the effort and energy needed to move a single pyramid block.  Students will be able to describe at least 5 inventions/innovations the Egyptians used to make the block moving process easier with 97% accuracy.  Students will be able to list and explain all the jobs in the block moving process with 95% accuracy.  Students will use addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, and fractions to quantify the energy and effort to move just one pyramid block.  We will conclude our examination of the building process by reenacting the block pulling process.  Students will use the first hand experience of pulling a pyramid block to understand the difficulties facing the Egyptians 4,500 years ago.
