6th Grade World History

Students will begin our examination of the Mycenaeans.  Students will be able to create at least 3 correct comparisons and 3 correct contrasts between the Mycenaeans and the Minoans with 100% accuracy.  Students will be asked to formulate a theory to explain Minoan destruction, the rise of the Mycenaeans and the subsequent Mycenaean destruction.  Students will perform a synthesized version of Homer's Iliad.  Students will analyze and interpret this classic to gain a further understanding of pre-Hellenic Greece.
